Elizabeth (Libby Shaw) Beede entered Heaven’s Gates at sunrise on the Summer Solstice, June 20, 2024, the day that darkness is the least and light triumphs. A celebration of light and warmth! How Appropriate!
Just a few months shy of her 70th birthday, Lib joined her Lord & Savior after a Courageous 2 1/2-year fight with cancer. Libby was born in Denver, CO August 22, 1954, to Bernard and Donna Shaw. The family moved to Fruita, CO when she was 10 yrs old.
She graduated from Fruita Monument High School in 1972, then became a hair stylist following her mother’s profession and owned her own Beauty Salon. She took a 14 year sabbatical and became a certified pharmacy technician then returned to her passion as a hairstylist. Lib’s True Joy was her family and close friends that she considered family. She enjoyed crafting, pottery, traveling & in her earlier years skiing at Lake Powell.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Ross Beede, her daughter Shelby (Rudy), son Charlie (Somer), grandchildren Talysa, Kylin, Jacob, Rudy Jr., Emma, Aryella & Giovanni and GG’s boys, Graysun & Eli, Mother Donna Shaw, brothers Gene (Trisha) & Bob (Sue), Uncle Robert Beede (Phyllis), Cousin/Twisted Sister Cindy Wise and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
