Ella Mae Ziegs

Ella Mae (Cranor) Ziegs went to be with her Lord at the age of 96 on Tuesday, February 20th after a short illness. Ella was born November 25,1927 in Sarcoxie Missouri to Henry & Lela Cranor. The Cranor family moved to Colorado in 1937. Ella spent the majority of her youth in the Rifle area, graduating from Rifle High School in 1945.Ella moved to Grand Junction to attend Mesa Junior Collage and worked at Evans Hardware on Main Street. She met and married Dave Ziegs in 1950. They had two children. Ella was a Kindergarten teacher and the head cook at Community Hospital for a number of years. She and Dave were very active in their Assembly of God Church. Ella loved to entertain and travel.
Ella is proceeded in death by her parents, her husband Dave, siblings Sarah Hoffmeister, Jesse Sterle, Mary Wise, John, Jim and Tandy Cranor. Ella is survived by one sibling Delite Stuffer, her daughter Glenda Noble (Ron), Carl Ziegs (Carol), four grandchildren, Jeff Williams (Mandy), Brian Williams (Tina), Dustin Ziegs, Natalie Huffman (Jeremy), eight great-grandchildren, Kirsten, Kyle, Kaleb, Katelyn, Marc (Kelsea, McKayla (Keenan) Williams, William, Eli Ziegs and one great-great grandchild Kacey.
 A memorial service will be held in the summer.
