Saturday, December 12, Al went with the angels to his heavenly home. He was born May 9, 1939 in Black Forest, Colorado. After graduation he joined the Air Force and spent 8 years in and during the Vietnam War. Al then served for 25 years as a Colorado State trooper. He was a Christian and a patriot and loved by many. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing.

He is survived by his wife, Sandy and stepsons, Jeremy, and Josh. Daughters Angie Stephenson and Kathy Betenbough, brother, Dwight (Dotty) sister, Kay Christian, 7 grandsons and one great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents, sons, Troy and Justin, brother, Bob and first wife, Wally

Funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church in Palisade, Colorado, on Saturday, December 19th, at 11:00 am.
