Emalou Peck

Emalou Bright Peck, 77, passed away January 3, 2016, following a lengthy illness.  Lou, as she liked to be called, was born April 25, 1939 to Dale and Lorene Bright in Davenport, Iowa.  She and her family moved to Grand Junction, CO in 1950 where Lou graduated from Grand Junction High School.  Lou met Ellis Peck and the two were married in 1957.  In 1959 Lou and Ellis moved to Denver, CO where the first of her three children were born.  In 1970 Lou and family moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming.  During the time in Cheyenne, Lou received her associates degree in nursing and went to work as a registered nurse for several years with the VA Hospital in Cheyenne, Oregon and Texas where whe received accolades for her cheerful outgoing personality along with knowledge and ability to care for her patients.

Lou & Ellis retired to Grand Junction, CO in 1992, where Lou found two quilt clubs and persued her favorite hobby quilting.

Lou was preceded in death by her parents Dale anad Lorene Bright and her daughter Marylynn.  Lou is survived by her husband of 59 yers, Ellis Peck, her son Dale(Susan) Peck and her daughter Leann (Mike) O'Blemess, her brother Dewane(Connie) Bright, Two grandsons and three great grandchildren.
