Ennis Ray McDaniel

Ennis "Ray" McDaniel, born December 12th, 1936, passed away on December 1st, 2023. Ray was born in Sheffield, AL to Theodora Almyra and Fred Pelter McDaniel. 

Ray graduated from Phillips Highschool in 1955. He went on to serve in the United States Air Force at Lockland Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX. He served in Germany and England during his time in the military, and completed his service at the Little Rock Air Force Base. 

Ray started his professional career at Burroughs Corporation selling office equipment. He owned and operated Office Machines, Inc. in Pine Bluff, AR until his retirement in 1995, when he moved with his family to Grand Junction, CO.

Ray was preceded in death by his sister Nancy McDaniel Gilmore, and both of his parents. 

Ray is survived by his wife, Dottie McDaniel (Grand Junction, CO), children Cheryl Young and her Husband Jimmy (Dennison, TX), Kevin McDaniel (Batesville, AR), Delaney Heffner and her husband Michael (Castle Rock, CO), D'Anna McPhail and her husband Chadd (Grand Junction, CO), and Molly McDaniel (Nashville, TN). He is also survived by his sister Mary Kathryn Scarborough and her husband Jim (Lyle, WA), and brother Pelter McDaniel (Florence, AL). Ray had four grand children, and 3 great grand children. 

Ray was known as the life of the party, and will continue to be remembered through stories of laughter and good times. He was known for always having a joke in his pocket, and a martini and cigar in hand. May we all remember him through the impact that he had on all of our lives, the laughter he shared with us, and the legendary man that he was. He will forever be remembered as an exceptional and loving father, husband, and friend.
