Erwin (Erv) Kiemle Jr. was promoted into Heaven at 2:21 am Sunday May 29, 2022 after his fight with several health issues. He is survived by Janet Kiemle, his wife of 62 1/2 years, 2 Children: Scott Kiemle and Joyce Diaz, 8 Grand Children, 7 Great Grand Children, Brother Dietrich (Deke) Kiemle, Sister Anna Louise Berg, and Brother Ken Kiemle.
He was a retired employee of the University of California, Los Alamos National Laboratory at Los Alamos, New Mexico. He was a "Jack of all Trades" and a master of many of them. If something needed to be built, repaired, or installed, he could get it done.
He received Jesus Christ as his LORD and Savior as a youth at Camp AWANA in Fredonia, Wisconsin. He was an active member of Gospel Way Baptist Church of Grand Junction, Colorado. You could find him there each and every service worshiping his LORD. He faithfully served in choir, ushering duties, weekly duties cleaning the church and assisting with the outdoor grounds until health forced his "retirement". Oh! And lest we forget his bread making talent which was enjoyed by all at church potlucks.
He lived a full life and love of the Great Outdoors, enjoying hunting, fishing, and hiking, having experiences that could fill an Outdoor Life magazine. He was not a "storyteller" but a teller of stories, as he would give account of many of his hunting and fishing adventures. And they WERE oft times adventures. There were no embellishments.
Now, he is meeting his Savior, family members and friends who had advanced on before him. Erv now with assurance can say as the Apostle Paul did in II Timothy 4:7-8, "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of life, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day..."
Erv, you certainly will be missed.
