Esther S Lujan

Esther S. Lujan passed away in her home on July 18, 2024 surrounded by family. Esther was born July 9, 1939 in Alamosa, Colorado. Her family moved to Grand Junction when she was young. 

She was the daughter of the late Henry and Evangeline Balerio. She attended schools in Grand Junction. She was employed and retired from Coors Ceramics. Esther was a member of St Josephs Catholic Church. 

She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family. She loved having the whole family over for Holidays and Sunday dinners. She is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Lee Lujan. 

She is preceded in death by her siblings Joe Balerio, Margaret Balerio, Vicky & Silver Martinez, Jennie & Simon Trujillo, Cathy Arguello and son in law Joseph Sanchez. She leaves behind her children Gary (Kathy) Lujan and Vivian Lujan along with her grandchildren AshLee (Ryan) Lujan-Hamilton, Thomas (Elisabeth) Romero and Richard (Nichole) Romero, great grandchildren DaLynn Romero, April Romero, Alexandria Romero, Andrew Romero, Zachary Romero, Bella Urenda, Hayden Randall, Asher Randall, Jypsie Romero, Jeremiah Romero, Anastasia Romero and one great-great grandchild, Amarah Romero. She is also survived by one sister Marcella (Mike) Vasquez and brother in law Clyde Arguello. 

We will be celebrating Esther’s life with a rosary on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at 5:30 pm at St Joseph’s Catholic church in St Teres’s room and the funeral mass will be Friday, August 2, 2024 at 11:00 am at St Joseph’s as well. A luncheon will follow after the mass. A visitation will be held at Browns Cremation at 3 pm on Wednesday July 31st. Burial will take place at a later date at the Veterans’s Memorial Cemetery. Her passing has left a void in our hearts and lives and she will be missed dearly
