Evan A. Richards, passed away December 12, 2024 in Grand Junction, Colorado at the age of 93. 

Evan was born on January 24, 1931 in Denver, Colorado. He was the son of William and Verda (Davis) Richards. He attended South High School in Denver. Evan served in the Air Force from 1951 to 1954 and was discharged at the rank of Airman 1st class. He worked at Public Service Company (Excel Energy) from 1955 until he retired in 1985.

Evan was a member of the Masonic Lodge, serving as Master Mason in 1965. He was an active member of the Shriners and belonged to the Clown Club, the Bag Pipe Marching Band and the Miniature Corvette Club.

After his retirement from Public Service Company, Evan and Charlene were members of the Good Sam's Club and enjoyed RV'g around the United States. They were avid campers and loved fishing, getting out almost every weekend they could. Evan was a great fan of the Dallas Cowboys and enjoyed watching the games. Evan and Charlene were active members of the First United Methodist Church in Grand Junction and had many close friends there. Evan had a life full of love and was surrounded by his family when he passed peacefully to the Lord.

Evan was preceded in death by his first wife Ila-Beth (Hansen) Richards in 1975, a son, Steve Michael Richards in 1984, and his second wife Charlene (Gray) Richards in 2023. 

He is survived by Shelley (Gary) Gesick, William (Nancy) Richards, Colleen (Gary) Street, Shelly (Tony) Taylor and Vicki (Ric) Beldon, 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Memorial services will be held at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Grand Junction, Colorado at a Springtime date to be announced.
