Everette Bohrer

Everette Merle Bohrer was born to Walter Lewis Bohrer and Mary Matilda Solace Bohrer in Juniper Springs, CO on March 13, 1924. On November 27, 2020, surrounded by his loving children, he was called to rest.

Everette’s passion in life was sharing the gospel of our Lord to bring God’s children to their savior. He valiantly earned the respect and love of many throughout his life’s journey. The light of the Lord shone brightly in all his endeavors, and he greeted everyone he met with the love of the Lord. As a Christian preacher he was called to pour himself out for others, he did just that and so much more. He showed the strength of a man not known to most. From surviving World War II honored with a purple heart to mending fences, raising a family, and snuggling sweet grandbabies. He was tough as nails with a heart of gold. His response to inquiries of his wellbeing, regardless of the trial before him, was always a humble and genuine, “Well Son, ain’t no sense in complainin’ wouldn’t do much good anyhow!”, followed by his bright smile and a wise bought of friendly laughter. Everette’s legacy of love will live on through his family, friends, many couples brought together in holy matrimony, baptisms he performed, and hearts he touched.

May peace be in our hearts as we know was in yours- Dearest Everette Merle Bohrer, forever in our hearts until we meet again.

Everette is survived by his wife Gay, children Marie Brickley, Richard Bohrer, Barbara Anderson, Danny Bohrer, Donnie Bohrer, Milissa Day, and many many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Everette is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years Esther Bohrer, wife of 5 years Mae Bohrer, his son Everette Allen Bohrer, and his daughter Ruby Mae Stubbs.

He was a giant when I was small,

He was a giant when I was tall,

His ever growing love,

Always started with a giant hug,

His laugh that cut through mud,

Always reminded me of his love,

His always encouraging words,

Helped me even when I felt like dirt,

He preached his wisdom,

That came from heaven,

His ever growing faith,

Made us all feel the same,

The stories he told,

Made him forever stand out bold,

We were blessed to be a part,

Of this wonderful man’s heart,

He never stopped to shrug,

To show us his love,

His open arms,

Were a part of his charm,

When I sank you swam,

With your open hands,

Never came to me to judge,

You just showed me love,

The tears I cry,

I know you’re close by,

I will always be blessed,

When you held my family and I close to your chest,

Memories will be told,

Yours will never grow old,

Thank you again,

Your story will never end.

Celebration of Everette’s life will be held on Saturday March 13, 2021 at Meeker Church of Christ 904 3rd Street Meeker, CO 81641. There will be a potluck immediately following, we ask that you bring a dish to share.
