Fern Cooper Bell

Fern Alene Cooper Bell passed away February 26, 2021 at the age of 89. Fern was born in Shaddock, Oklahoma April 2, 1931 to Anna and Guy Cooper from Gruver, Texas. Fern met Durward Bell while attending West Texas State College. They married September 18, 1949 and moved to the farm in Bovina, Texas, where they raised two children, Karen Grissom (Grand Junction, Colorado) and Greg Bell (Ruidoso, New Mexico). Fern was preceded in death by Durward in August of 2014. She is survived by 4 grandchildren, Caprice Scott (Grand Junction, CO), Cody Grissom (Grand Junction, CO), Kasey Bell (Dallas, Tex), Will Bell (Round Rock, Tex), and 2 great grandchildren, Shandon Baker (Walla Walla, Washington) and Ethan Bell (Round Rock,Tex). Fern loved to play games, travel, work in the yard and bake! Alzheimer’s didn’t take her sense of humor or her love for her family and life.

There will be a graveside service at the Bovina, TX, Cemetery on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at 1:30 p.m.
