Frances Evelyn McKenzie, age 93, passed away Wednesday, March 11th, 2015 at Mesa Manor Center in Grand Junction, CO. A limb has fallen from the family tree. I keep hearing a voice that says, "Grieve not for me". Remember the best times, the laughter, the song, The good life I lived while I was strong. Continue my heritage, I'm counting on you. Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through, My mind is at ease, my soul is a rest. Remember all, how I truly was blessed. Continue traditions, no matter how small. Go on with your life, don't worry about falls. I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin, Until the day comes we're together again. Frances was born outside of Ignacio, CO and grew up there with her four sisters and four brothers on the Campbell family ranch. On september 3, 1941, she married Burleigh Patton. They had four children and were divorced in 1963. She married Howard McKenzie in 1966. She was preceded in death by her parents Louis and Irene Campbell, son David Patton, and infant daughter, Frances Marie Patton, sisters Alice Lechner, Ethel Poma, Cora Hiner, and brothers Louis, David and Carl and husband Howard McKenzie. Frances is survived by two sons, Dennis (Carolyn) of Grand Junction, and Donald (Janice) of Wright, WY, Grandchildren, Brenda Forden (Noah) of RI, Duane of Grand Junction, Burleigh (Mary Beth), Crystal and Curtis all of Salt Lake City, UT. One sister, Marie Floyd (Bert) of Grand Junction, and one brother, Kenneth of NM. Three great grandchildren, McKayah, Radean, and Bailey. There are many nieces and nephews surviving and all will miss her presence.
