Frances “Fran” Rollaine passed away peacefully on January 17, 2025, in Grand Junction, Colorado, just days shy of her 96th birthday. Born on January 26, 1929, in Montrose, Colorado, Fran was the youngest of four sisters and grew up surrounded by love and laughter.
In California, she met Jack, the love of her life. The two were married on Christmas Eve in 1947 and shared a beautiful partnership that spanned decades. Together, they returned to Colorado and became cherished members of the Grand Junction community.
Fran was known for her joyful spirit and spunky personality. She had an unwavering ability to see the best in people and always encouraged others to “make the best of a bad situation.” Her faith was central to her life; she and Jack were longtime members of the First Baptist Church.
She found great joy in simple pleasures like playing cards with dear friends and attending Red Hat Society events. She loved warm weather; camping and boating. Above all else, she put God and her family first, especially treasuring time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Fran is survived by her devoted husband, Jack; her son, David; grandchildren Chelsea, Vee, and Rosalind; and great-grandchildren Jaxon and Everlee. She was preceded in death by her beloved son Mark.
A pillar of love in her community, Fran will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those she touched with her kindness and faith.
