Frank F. Carravetta, Jr. age 71, Grand Junction, CO passed away from heart failure on 06/23/2023 at St. Mary's Medical Center.

Frank received his education in Kenosha, WI and graduated from Gateway Technical Institute with an Airframe & Powerplant mechanic license. He was a master mechanic and received numerous professional certificates throughout his career.
On 4/7/1979 Frank married Gail Sexton in Kenosha, WI. Although they divorced in 2013, they maintained a supportive and loving friendship.
Frank retired from the Division of Facilities Management (State of Colorado) as a mechanic in 2018. He worked for years as an oil fields mechanic after he moved to Colorado. He was the shop foreman/mechanic for Kenosha County Highway Department. He also was self-employed doing custom race engine building. His early career was a mechanic for his father's business MAC Construction. Frank also enjoyed a career as an airplane mechanic. He could literally fix anything. Frank also worked as an Instructor at Gateway Technical College for several years teaching mechanics and engine building.
Frank enjoyed being a member of various shooting clubs and riding his Harley. He enjoyed listening to live music and playing his own bass guitar. He loved rebuilding his beloved Shelby mustang and for many years raced circle track with small pickup trucks that he built. He was an accomplished pool player and enjoyed playing pool throughout his life and in his retirement.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, several uncles and aunts and his niece Myra Carravetta.
Survivors include his sister Cynthia "Tia" Carravetta, his former wife Gail Carravetta, Uncle Richard "Dick" Carravetta, Honorary brother Victor Gregory who had Frank's back to the end; Uncle James Carravetta, Aunt Mary Parsons, Aunt Betty George, Aunt Joanne Nosotti, nephews: Ian Glover, Mark Carravetta, Nicholas (Cara) Bichsel, Brian Grevenow, Matthew Grevenow. He is also survived by a brother Michael Carravetta (Evangeline), many friends and numerous cousins.
