Freddie Paul Lopez, age 56, died July 1, 2016 following a long illness.

Born September 8, 1959 in Cortez Co, he was the son, of the late Frankie Ted Lopez and of Beatrice Gustamantes-Lopez of Summit Ridge.

Freddie had been employed as a Consultant in the oil industry for 40 years.

He enjoyed spending time with family, fishing, music, dancing, watching westerns and taking mom to the casino. Freddie was family man, a jokester, he was loving, kind and a hardworking Oil Field Man.

He was preceded in death by his father Frankie Ted Lopez, his nephew Donnie Velasquez, his Uncles Abel & Tommy Lopez, and grandparents Frankie and Juanita Lopez and Maternal grandparents Richard & Genoveva Gustamantes.

He is survived by Two daughter’s Amy (Carlos) Felix of Grand Junction Colorado, and Tamica Lopez (Daniel Niebla) of Las Vegas Nevada. 5 Grandkids Diana, Luis, Ismael, Leon, and Miya. He is also survived by his mother Beatrice Lopez, brother Frank Lopez and sister Diana Velasquez and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 8, 2016 from 5 to 6 PM at St. Margaret Mary Church 28 E. Montezuma, Rosary to follow. Burial will be Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 10 am at the Cortez Cemetery
