Frederick Albert Gladstone age 102 died November 15th 2024 at Ferris Hospice Care Center in Grand Junction, CO. Born June 15th 1922 in Niagara Falls, New York. He was one of three sons born to Arthur Gladstone and Albina Cheney. He enlisted in the Canadian Army since, the United States had not entered the 2nd World War at the time of his enlistment. He was very anxious to serve. After the war he worked for Chrysler Company in Detroit, Michigan . After 12 years he was laid off so he ventured west to California in search of work leaving his family behind temporarily. He gained employment with Alcoa Aluminum where he became a Journeyman Millwright and retired from said company after 22 years. He was an avid member of the Masonic Order at the Norwalk California Lodge where he remained a member until he passed. He enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas NV to gamble. He loved the game of baseball and was loyal to both the Detroit Tigers and the Los Angeles Dodgers. He loved meeting new people and treated them like family. He had 5 children with his wife Evelyn; Roy, William, Chris, Darlene and Dale and 3 grand children by William - Eric, Elliott and Adam. He is survived by sons William, Dale and his only daughter Darlene. In 2016 he requested to move to Grand Junction, Colorado to be close to his daughter Darlene and Son in Law Carlos Chavarria. He was very independent and chose to live at Solstice Senior living community. He enjoyed his time there and made many friends.
