George Gipp

George Harvey Gipp 87 of Collbran , Co. went to his heavenly home on Friday , January 22. He was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on September 3, 1933 to Harvey and Albia Gipp. He married the love of his life and dance partner Jo Ann on September 3, 1951. They would have been married 70 years in September.
When they first married and lived in Iowa he farmed, but longed for the mountains where they vacationed. In 1965, he bought a ranch with his father and the family moved to Collbran.
George loved his family, fishing, hunting, swathing hay and dancing!
In the past he had been a realtor, drove the school bus and was always willing to pull someone out or give them a ride if they were stranded.
He was a gentle man with a deep faith.
George, Dad, Grandpa, (Pa) and Great Grandpa was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife Jo Ann Gipp, son Gregory Gipp, daughter Cindy Jo Grindle, four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, his sisters, nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at the Molina Baptist Church on Saturday, February 6 at 11 AM.
