George "Bill" Lewellen

George William Lewellen "Bill" passed away Sunday February 25, 2024 after a long illness at the age of 73.

He was born April 15, 1950 in Del Norte, Colorado to George Lewellen and Glaydes Bauer. He served in the Army with an honorable discharge on April 1, 1972. He married the love of his life Lisa on June 5, 1982. He was an optician for over 40 years and worked for Darnell Optical, McKissen Optical and Dr. George Tull.

His true joy and happiness was spending time with his family. He was a kind simple man and everyone who knew him loved him.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother, brother and sister and son in law David King. He is survived by his wife Lisa, sons Kevin (Melissa), George "G.W", daughters Tawnya , Tiffany (Dustin). Grandchildren Katelyn, Brielle, Kaisley, Kyla, Kaitlin (Adam), Nick, Rylin, Trenna, and great grandchild Finnegan and forever friend/brother Carlos Fields (Vicki).

Memorial services will be held Saturday March 2, 2024 at 11:00 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. 2542 G Road, Grand Junction.
