Gerald France

May 18, 1954 — July 7, 2016

Jerry was born May 18, 1954 in Poughkeepsie, NY to Emily Pearson and Norman France.  Gerald was called to join his Lord and Savior after a difficult, four year battle with Cancer on July 7, 2016, in Grand Junction, CO.

Gerald attended school in upstate New York and graduated from Pine Bush Central High School, Pine Bush, NY. Shortly after he enlisted in the United States Navy Seabees on May 25, 1972.  He was honorably discharged May 1, 1981.

He worked as a Millwright, a Crane Operator, and a Heavy Equipment Operator.  He enjoyed the freedoms of the open road and was a delivery driver for a small handful of local companies.  Gerald's hobbies and interest included his barbecue, baking his homemade bread and anything else that involved a pot or a pan.  He enjoyed Harley Davidson Motorcycles and was an avid and loyal fan of the Seattle Seahawks, as well as the Colorado Rockies.

In later years, Gerald found himself heavily involved in studies of Jesus Christ.

Following cremation, there will be a service with military Honors at Veteran's Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado, 2830 Riverside Parkway, Grand Junction, CO on July 22, 2016 at 10:00 a.m.
