Gilbert F. Karoblis, age 66, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones at St. Mary’s Hospital, Grand Junction, Colorado.
Born May 19, 1953, he was the son of the late Gilbert Sr. and Bernice Karoblis.
Gilbert graduated from Oak Park River Forest High School.
He was a veteran of the US Army, having served as Private First Class E2 during the Vietnam Era.
He enjoyed his dog, Ollie, motorcycles, and many, many trips to Sturgis, SD. He was a supporter of ALL bikers.
Gilbert was a super mellow guy who didn’t complain, was easy to get along with, and had your back if there was any trouble. In 2000-2001, he followed Mark across the country. Mark on his motorcycle, and Bert in his car.
Gilbert is survived by his brothers, Pete (Wanda), Drew, and Mark; sisters, Amy (Floyd) Sokolowski, and Lucy Blis; three nieces, and three nephews.
A memorial service will be held January 4th, 2020, at Browns Chapel at Noon, following a Visitation starting at 10:00 am, and burial January 7th, 2020 at the Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado.
