Gloria Dawn Adamson

August 7, 1941 — January 6, 2024

We are saddened to announce the passing of our beloved Gloria Dawn Adamson. Gloria passed away on January 7, 2024. Gloria was born in Wisconsin on August 7, 1941 to Marion and Edith Burkhart. She had three siblings, Linda, Roger, and Bradley. Gloria had two children, Susie Childers and Ricky Childers whom she raised in California while working as a nurse. In 1972 she moved to Grand Junction where she met and married Kenny Adamson. Together they spent their spare time fishing and enjoying the beauty of Grand Junction. Gloria had a passion for God, bingo, coffee, and people. Her family often said Gloria never met a stranger. Most of all Gloria was known as an animal enthusiast who took in any critter from monkey to alligator with a special passion for cats. 

Gloria is survived by her husband Kenny Adamson, grandchildren: Shawn (Dani), Cole, (Katrina), Chase (Cami) and seven great grandchildren: Jaxyn, Asher, Jasper, Evelyn, Poppy, Ella, Caleb. She was preceded in death by her Mother Edith, Father Marion, siblings: Linda, Roger and Bradley, Son Rickey and her daughter Susie who passed away one week after Gloria. There will be a celebration of life for Gloria and Susie Liddicoat on April 28, 2024 at the Redlands Community Center at 2pm.
