Gloria Baca-Silva

Gloria Baca-Silva, age 78, died Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at her home in Grand Junction, CO  Born November 29, 1939 in Mexico, she was the daughter of the late Jose Baca and Rosario Silva.  She attended school in Mexico and was married to Jose Caballero who preceded her in death.  The couple raised fourteen children.

Gloria lived by the passage “Cleanliness is next to Godliness”.  She kept and neat and tidy house and she made sure she and her children were fastidiously groomed: hair clean and styled, fingernails cleaned and neatly trimmed.  Gloria always had a lovely fragrance about her.

She loved children and playing games with them, hide-and-seek, climbing trees, and other games were among her favorites.

More than anything, Gloria loved her family, spending time with her kids and grandkids, and making life special for them.

She is survived by her loving children, Rene’, Josefina, Dora, Liliana, Benigna, Guillermo, Sandra, Rosa, Evelia, Martin, Isabel, Brisa, Irma, Maisela, and many grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
