Harlow Clayton Medill, 93, died March 14, 2025, in Grand Junction, Colorado, from complications of a brief illness.
He was born November 2, 1931, in Pueblo, Colorado, he was the son of the late Ralph & Katie Medill.
Harlow graduated from Rye High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean war.
After returning he worked at the family dairy until starting a career in road maintenance for Pueblo County.
After 20 some years of service with the county he changed jobs and started with CDOT, he was with CDOT until his retirement in 1994.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, hunting, camping, and most of all farming & ranching.
He was a quiet man with a calming disposition. He was always ready to help & support his kids with whatever they may need. Even though they tested him on many occasions.
Harlow was preceded in death by: his parents Ralph & Katie Medill, his three brothers, Earl, Westly, & Harold.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Medill, His sons: Ralph (Pam) Medill, Gary (Joy) Medill, Phil (Pat) Daugherty, & his daughters Marilyn (Rick) Williams, Barb (Michael) Huston, Abby (John) Zellar. Along with fourteen grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
A celebration of life will be held on 4/26/2025 at 11:00am at 1526 M 3/8 Rd., Loma, Colorado (John and Abby’s home).

There will also be a grave side service at the Rye cemetery on tentative date of June 21, 2025 time to be determined.
