Harold Oliver

September 9, 1937 — March 6, 2021

Harold Lee Oliver passed away peacefully on March 6, 2021 due to the COVID virus.

Harold “Buzz” Oliver was born September 9, 1937 to Vivian and Roy Oliver in New Underwood South Dakota.  Buzz attended and graduated from Rapid City Central High School in Rapid City, South Dakota and attended Utah State University.  Buzz married Donna Mae Weishahn on July 22, 1956 and they were married for 64 years.

Buzz’s life was filled with family, fishing, working on his rental properties, RVing, and home renovations; he was truly a “jack of all trades”.  Buzz retired from Frontier Airlines in 1986 after 22 years as a ticket agent and station manager.  After retirement from the airlines he then became the manager and sales agent for Horizon Towers Condominiums until 1991 when he retired for a second time.  Buzz and Donna then spent their time traveling with their RV from Colorado to Canada and Maine, and down the eastern seaboard all the way to Key West as well as traveling to the west to California and Oregon.

Buzz is survived by his wife Donna and 2 children, Brian Oliver and Tauna Oliver-Skidmore (Todd Skidmore).  Buzz was an ever present, fun loving, hard-working father who enjoyed traveling with his family, skiing, boating, and fishing with his son and long-time friends.

Buzz is also survived and forever loved by 5 granddaughters: Brittney Myers (Nick Myers), Sara Carlisle (Dillon Carlisle), Jessica DeGabriele (Jordan DeGabriele), Katherine Werman and Emily Werman as well as 3 great grandchildren Brooks, Nikolas, and Aella.  Buzz was a dedicated grandfather who most of all cherished time with his family and had an unfading smile on his face.  When asked, his grandchildren will remember him as their kind, dependable, understanding, funny, hardworking, selfless grandpa as well as the quietest family member but undeniably, the life of the party.

Per Buzz’s request no services will be held.  A family Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
