Holly Weighall

We are very saddened to announce, Holly Roberta Comstock Weighall, 75, of Grand Junction, Colorado, passed away on May 18th from respiratory complications at St. Mary’s hospital.

Holly was born August 23rd, 1945 to Clayton and Doris Comstock in Westfalls, New York. After high school, she attended Business College in Jacksonville, Florida. This is where she met Bill Weighall, on February 9th, 1964.  They dated for 11 months before deciding to elope and get married on January 30th, 1965, in Folkston, Georgia. When they arrived at the hotel, she pulled out her nighty and their suitcase was full of rice. It went everywhere.

In 1966 they welcomed their first born, Kimberly, who was almost a Christmas present. In 1968 they welcomed their second born, Shannon, who will carry on their name. In 1979 they welcomed their third born, Kelly, who was a sledding surprise. She loved us all bunches. XOXOXO

She loved spending time with family, listening to the sounds of the ocean waves, going on vacations and traveling, going on drives over the mountains, fun times at Disney, and dipping her toes into various oceans. She had different thoughts about dipping her toes into the ocean after her adventure to Seward, Alaska and dipping her toes into the Pacific Ocean, but she dipped long enough for a picture.

Holly worked at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction for 30 years as a Flight For Life dispatcher. On her last day of work, the Flight For Life team took her on a ride around the valley.

Holly was preceded in death by her parents, Clayton and Doris Comstock and her sister Lynne and her husband George.

She is survived by her loving husband Bill; her three brothers, Lance and his wife Paulette, Craig and his wife Marge, and Rory and his wife Cheri; her three children Kimberly and her husband John, Shannon and his wife Renee, and Kelly and her husband Tony; her four grandchildren John Jr., Dawn and her husband Nate, Everett, and Kaleb; and her 4 great grandchildren, Nevaeh, Embri, Payton, and Lea.
