Homer was born March 11, 1939 in Animas City, CO which is now part of Durango. He left this world due to an automobile accident on April 3, 2022.
His parents were Frank L Beebe and Mabel Throckmorton Beebe. He had 7 siblings; Naomi, Ruby, Lila, Carl, Leroy, Reatha, and Bennie. Three of his siblings survive him; Lila Peters of Grand Junction, Reatha Crock of Washington and Bennie Beebe of Washington.
Homer is survived by 5 children: Patty Beebe Voake (Don), H. Mark Beebe, Brian L Beebe, Sherry Almond and Jeff L Almond. He was blessed with 8 grandchildren: Kristi, Kevin, Alex, Kenton, Brian, Sue, Joe, Nick and 13 great grandchildren.
Homer graduated from Central High School in 1957 where he met his future wife, Wanda Almond. They were married Sept 18, 1958 at Clifton Assembly of God and celebrated their 63rd anniversary last year. They made their home in Carlsbad NM, Buxton OR, Longmont CO, Tucson AZ and Clifton CO.
Homer worked in a number of capacities prior to spending a long career with IBM as a Quality Engineer. After retiring, he moved back to Clifton CO and worked part-time for Avis for 17 years. Homer, Wanda and their son Mark did much of the construction on the home they built on their property in Clifton.
Homer was a member of Palisade Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed driving the open road and travel. Most of all, Homer loved spending time with his family- his wife, his siblings, his kids, his grandkids, and great grandkids.
A memorial service to honor this gentle, loving, giving man will be held this summer.
