Howard M. Whipple

Howard passed away peacefully in his home in Grand Junction, CO from a sudden illness.
Howard was born in Carlisle, PA to Edwin and Edna (Soule) Whipple.  Howard graduated high school and joined the U.S. Navy, from there was stationed in San Diego, California.  Howard then took a position with Mare Island Naval Shipyard in Vallejo, CA until his retirement in 1993.  On November 19, 1966 he married Arlinda Frost, they had one daughter, Tanya May.  Howard has two grand children, Destinee Workman and Ryan Hargrove and a great-granddaughter, Keira Workman.  Howard enjoyed hunting, camping, and later years rock hounding and faceting and painting.  He enjoyed being a part of the Rock and Gem Club in Grand Junction, CO.
Howard is preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Edna Whipple, sister, Larna, brother, Wayne, and sister Alice.
Howard is survived by his wife, Arlinda Whipple, daughter Tanya May, Granddaughter Destinee Workman, Grandson Ryan Hargrove, and great granddaughter Keira Workman, his sister Mary and brother Lyle.
Memorial service is on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Life Tabernacle, 636 29 Road.
