Irene Loveridge, 86, of Grand Junction Colorado, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2024. She was born on February 2, 1938, in Temvik, North Dakota, to Gottlieb Keller and Minnie Wacker. Irene was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Morris Loveridge, and five brothers and one sister.
Irene is survived by her two sisters, Esther Will of Bismarck, North Dakota, and Frances Minter of Mankato, Minnesota. She is also survived by her stepdaughter in law Gloria Loveridge, step-grandchildren, Michael Loveridge (Heidi) and Karen Sightler (William), and her great-grandsons Liam and Eli Sightler.
Irene worked at her family’s auto repair shop in customer service, worked in the textile industry, and for outdoor companies. She was a faithful and devoted member of New Covenant Baptist Church, where her deep Christian faith guided her throughout her life. Known for her generous spirit, Irene was always ready to help her neighbors, whether by giving rides or lending a hand. She had a talent for sewing and enjoyed baking pies, which she lovingly shared with family and friends.
The family has chosen not to hold a funeral at this time.
Irene’s memory will be cherished by all who knew her, and her legacy of kindness, faith, and love will continue to inspire those who loved her.
