Ivy Elaine Rivers died unexpectedly due to a sudden illness in Parkview Medical Hospital on November 14th, 2021 in Pueblo, Colorado at the age of 35.
Ivy was born on September 29th, 1986 in Tampa, Florida to Karen Gabbei and David Rivers. She graduated from Central High School of Grand Junction, Colorado in 2005. Recently, she was a Customer Service Representative at Adecco receiving training to be promoted before falling sick.
Friendly and fun-loving, she liked to make jokes, but she often showed her kind and caring side by giving to others in need, even when she herself was the one in need. No matter how many times life had knocked her down, she always remained positive that things would get better.
Ivy was accomplished at crochet and often sold or gifted her creations to others. She was a generous individual who loved cooking, reading, and writing, and who was passionate about her friends and those in her spiritual community.
Ivy is survived by her parents, Karen Gabbei of Fruita, Colorado, and David Rivers of Sparta, Tennessee; boyfriend, Chris Bartow of Pueblo, Colorado; and sisters Holly (and Ashley) Gabbei-Roscoe of Clifton, Colorado.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Ivy’s name to your local homeless shelter or animal rescue. The family would like to thank the hospital staff of Parkview Medical for their efforts and dedication.
Services have been entrusted to Browns Cremation and Funeral Services.
