Jack T. Taylor passed away on February 7 after a long illness. He was the son of the late George Taylor and Kathryn (Tiebout) Taylor. Jack was born on December 6, 1941 in Cleveland, Ohio. He is survived by his twin sister Jill McGrath (Cliff) of Marco Island, Florida and brother Robert (Judy) of Westlake, Ohio.
He is also followed by seven nieces and nephews: Allison Taylor of San Francisco; Jeffrey Taylor of Brooklyn, New York; Megan Morris of Ashville, North Carolina; Jennifer Concoby of Seattle, Washington; Debbie Nolan of Mesopotamia, Ohio; Kim Arnold of Chardon, Ohio and John Concoby of Rogers, Arkansas; and many grand nieces and nephews.
In 1945 Jack’s family moved from Cleveland to Painesville, Ohio where he attended school and later received training as a meat cutter. In 1977 he moved to Aspen, Colorado and became involved with outdoor activities including camping and skiing. He quickly used his meat cutting experience and obtained a job at Clark’s Supermarket.
Although Jack was a hard worker, he enjoyed having fun with friends and family. In Aspen he socialized with his friends at the Elks Club, The Woody Creek Tavern and The Aspen Bar and Grill among others. Jack always kept in touch with friends and family and visited Ohio frequently.
Jack’s recent residence was Grand Junction, Colorado where he was an active member of the Grand Junction Eagles. He will be missed by everyone who enjoyed his carefree lifestyle and sense of humor.
