Jack Wheeler

Jack Anthony Wheeler, aged 71, of Grand Junction, Colorado, passed away on Sunday, May 15th, 2022. Jack is survived by his wife of 25 years, Kathy Wheeler; sister, Pam Adams; sister-in-law, Lynn Fink; niece, Melissa Adams; children: Jason Wheeler, Shelly (Ryan) Doherty, Lisa Clarke, Mike (Amy) Mahns, and his 10 beloved grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Dolores Wheeler; brothers, Michael and David Wheeler and son-in-law, Brad Clarke.

Jack had a strong faith in the Lord and was a dedicated family man. He had often remarked to his wife Kathy, how blessed he was to have met and married her and add more children and grandchildren to his life.

Jack was known lovingly by his many grandchildren and great grandchildren as “Papa”. A day spent in the wilderness camping, hiking and fishing with his wife and beloved dog, Chief, was a day well spent.

Jack (Papa) was a huge presence in his family’s lives and he will be greatly missed.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Jack’s name to the American Heart Association.
