James Henry Lindwedel was born on December 12, 1936 to Theodore F. and Frieda A. Lindwedel in St. Louis, Missouri. James was a retired electronic engineer. On May 5, 2007 Jim married long time friend Nancy. Jim enjoyed taking his wife and family to explore the state of Alaska as well as other travelling. Jim enjoyed photography, painting, advanced technology automobiles and mechanic advancements, amateur ham radio, road trips, spending time with his rescued chihuahua, and soaking in the Ouray hot springs pool with family.  His first love was in worshiping and studying scripture, his passion for the Lord was life-long and he enjoyed fellowshipping with his family.

His family would like to thank the staff at HopeWest Hospice & Palliative Care, the transitions team, home team and care center staff as well as their caregiver support group members.

He is survived by his wife Nancy Lindwedel, His step-childred Larry L. Dancer, and Dawn Emily Morrow (Douglas), one grandchild Nicolas Morrow (Saharah Bjornestad) and one great-grandchild Emerson James Morrow all of Grand Junction, Colorado, Brother Louis Lindwedel of St. Petersburg, Florida, Sister Neoma McDermott (Mike) of St. Louis, Missouri, Nephew Rev. Alvin Ray Jr. (Brenda) and their family, Niece Evelyn Charlene Watson (Doug) and their family, niece Kimberly Lamb all of Grand Junction and numerous other nieces and nephews throughout the country.

He is preceded in death by his first wife Wanda Lindwedel, his parents, and 5 other siblings and their families.

Memorial service officiated by Rev. Alvin L. Ray Jr. and will be held on Sunday, July 29, 2018 at 11am at Gospel Assembly Church at 3164 F Road, Grand Junction, Colorado.
