James Edward Miller, aged 79, went to be with the lord and his beloved wife Twila, to whom he was with for 62 years, and happily married to for 60 years, on July 12th, 2021.
He is preceded in death by his wife Twila Miller, his parents Francis and Mildred Miller, brother Paul Miller, sisters Marlene Wiggins, Judy Tullis, Martha Buchman, and son in law Philip Purnell, amongst other family and friends.
James was born in Pontiac, Michigan to Frances and Mildred Miller on the 27th of December, 1941. James was an avid music lover, loved to fish, play at the casinos, and most importantly, loved spending time with his family. He took many trips with his wife Twila and their three daughters, and loved to travel.
Above all, James was a family man who loved visits from his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a genuine man, wise, stern, caring, loving and funny. He loved a good joke and was a rebel without a cause at times and was said by family to stir up a little harmless trouble in his youth from time to time, just to make things interesting. He was quick-witted and intelligent, a hard worker, and a dependable man. He was truly loved by his family and will be greatly missed.
James is survived by his daughters Cherie Purnell, Debra Thuma, and Susan Lamb; his sister Jeanne Stetson, his 8 grandchildren and 18 great grand children, as well as many nieces and nephews.
James Edward Miller had a Celebration of Life at Brown’s Cremation and Funeral Service Chapel, and was laid to rest with his wife in Orchard Mesa Cemetery on July 16th, 2021.
