Janet Louise Lee, age 79 passed away at Mesa Manor on March 18, 2020.
Jan was born on December 27, 1940 to Henry and Marjorie (Culp) Lee in Sedalia, Co.
Jan spent most of her childhood in Sedalia until the family moved to Denver, Co for a short time then moving to Clifton, Co in 1956.
Jan graduated from Central High School.
Jan started attending Clifton Assembly of God Church during high school. This is where Jan meet a young man that was out going, kind and funny and had a really neat 55 Chevy. This young man’s name was Edward Dow. They were married June 18, 1958.
Besides her family and friends, Jan enjoyed fishing and camping with her family, working in their garden, visiting with family and friends. Jan and Ed enjoyed fishing and camping together even after their kids were grown and on their own.
Jan worked as a Transporter and File room clerk at St. Mary’s Hospital from 1979 until she retired in 1999.
Jan and Ed loved their church family, they attended Clifton Assembly of God, First Assembly of God, and Palisade Church of the Nazarene.
She is survived by her, Son Dan (Trisha) Dow, Daughter Connie (Jerry) Fagg, Son Darin (Stephanie) Dow.
Her 9 grandchildren were the joy of her life. Connor Dunn, Savannah Fagg, Tori (Joey) Roe, Nathan Dow, Nikki Dow, Jayden Dow, Kylie Dow, Jacob Dow and Isabel Dow, She had one great-grandson, Gabe Roe.
Other survivors include three bothers. Henry (Marilyn) Lee, Bill (Carla) Lee, Jack (Marlene) Lee. Three sisters Peg Lee, Marsha Wilson, and JoAnn Sharp. Sister-in-law Leatha Monger, many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Edward Dow by only 11 days. Her father Henry, mother Marjorie and step-mother Gladys Lee, sister Sandee Selan, niece Debbie Calhoon, nephew Jason Lee, three brothers-in-laws Pat Monger, Robert Selan and Glen Sharp, Four step-brothers Richard, Leroy, Jerry, and Marvin Kenner, and Step-sister Margaret Johnson.
A celebration of her life will be at a later date.
