Janet Moore loved to cook for her family and friends. She loved hosting pool parties for extended family and cooking for all of them. She loved animals and children, and they loved her. She loved working in her yard, and daisies. She had a beautiful cactus garden. She loved holidays, and especially Christmas. She enjoyed decorating her home.
She liked to take her children camping at the beach. She was a strong and capable woman who would help anyone in need. She never backed away from a challenge.
The joy of her life were her grandchildren: Michael, Ryan, Eli, Whitney, Mary Corey, Jon, Isaiah, Jada, Kiana, Brooke, Abbey, Peyton, Kylee, and Robbie. And her great grandchildren: Layla, Calvin, Adeline, Silas, Annalee, Lincoln, and Elliette.
Janet was born in Morgantown West Virginia and graduated from high school there in 1956, she was a twirler and on the dance team.
She moved to California where she met her first husband James Harris. They had 3 children: Carolee, Bob, and Jim. Jim and Janet moved to Glenwood Springs, Colorado in 1974. Janet worked as a cook in the school cafeteria, and at Walmart. She was very social and loved meeting people. And at the end of her life she lived in Rifle with her little companion, Tiki.
