Janice Kay

Janice Alice Kay died December 7th 2022 at the age of 91 after a brief and sudden decline. Although she struggled with memory and some cognitive ability for the last several years, she never forgot her love for her Lord, her family, and her friends. Her sweet and gracious spirit blessed us all during every day she was given on this earth. Most of her life was thoroughly enjoyed in Northwest Colorado. She never lost the dream of getting to make just one more trip up to her primitive childhood cabin home in Columbine, but loved her last modern home which she occupied for the last 17 years in Battlement Mesa.

Those who knew and loved her best will always treasure her humility, generosity, and contagious joy. She loved ministering to the old and the young, always hoping to share Jesus' love - always pointing out blessings from above. She wanted the Lord to be thanked and praised regardless of challenges and trials.

She is survived by one son, Larry and his wife, Kathleen as well as one granddaughter Audra Lovejoy, and her husband Rick Lovejoy. Great grandchildren include Luke (Bekah), Danielle (Ty), and Savannah (Mitch). At this time there are also two great- great granddaughters, Mille and Maisyn. Family is gathering soon for the celebration of Janice Kay's life with other celebrations planned for summer.

Anyone wanting to remember Janice with a memorial contribution could donate to a church youth group, a children's Gospel ministry, or to Hope West Hospice who made her end of life comfort and care more wonderful and pain free than we could have imagined.
