Jason Bailey

Jason Lee Bailey, Age 63, died at his home of heart failure on May 14, 2018.

Jason grew up in Indiana, and completed his Eagle Scout certification at age 18. He joined the Army and served in the infantry and as a military policeman from 1973-1977, enjoying a 13 month tour in Greece.

He moved to the Grand Valley to be in management at Hart's Jewelers (Mesa Mall). He held various jobs in insurance, and driving a Red Seal delivery truck, until he found his dream vocation as a Correctional Officer at the Division of Youth Corrections, where he served the community for 11 years. Health issues forced him to retire early and Jason completed his career at the gun library at Cabellas, "a job he loved because he got paid to talk about guns"

Jason married the love of his life, Joyce, on December 1st, 1973. She survives, together with their two sons, David and Daniel (Missy), grandsons Justin and Tristin, granddaughters, Maya and Hannah, and many friends.
