Jeanette Ann Shaw, age 72 died the 27th of March 2021 following a long, fierce battle.
Born August 7, 1948 in Pittsburg, Kansas as a twin daughter to Muriel and Edwin Earl Davis. Her twin Janice died a few days later.
Jeanette attended school at St. Mary’s in Pittsburg, Kansas. Then moved with her family to Whittier,California where she attended St. Bruno’s school. She attended St. Paul High School in Whittier graduating class 1966.
Jeanette moved to Hamstead , Netherlands with her family. She attended graduate courses at the International School of the Hague class of 1968.
Jeanette married Calvin Shaw of Grand Junction on July 17,1970. They were married 50 years until his death in January 2021.
Together they had one son, Jason Shaw whom she loved with all her heart. She was a proud grandmother to Jacob, Jasmine and Joshua Shaw as well as many other adopted Grandkids.
Jeanette was the world’s greatest sister to her sister Sue, a relationship many envied and admired.
She was an enforcer Aunt to her three nieces Kim, Julie and Carrie. She kept the girls in line. She adored her only nephew Kyle.
Jeanette worked for Fluor Daniel Corporation as an Executive Secretary retiring in 1998. Her true passion was her career as a Sales Consultant for Mary Kay for over 40 years. She was truly passionate about Mary Kay, and touched many women’s lives. She set an example of being a dedicated and hard working employee for her family.
Jeanette was friendly, outgoing, funny, ornery, and had a wicked sense of humor. She was known for her straightforward, no nonsense outlook on life. She would set you straight and send you on your way.
She enjoyed traveling with her family, eating at Cracker Barrel and she could shop until she dropped.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband Cal, parents Muriel and Bud Davis, twin Janice and brother Greg.
Jeanette is survived by her son Jason Shaw , his wife and her amazing caretaker Lisa Shaw , her Sister Sue Brown,her grandchildren, nieces,nephews, great nieces, great nephews and great -great nephews. As well as many special friends and cousins across the country.
The family would especially like to thank her caretakers Jen, Mariah, Bryce and Maddie.
A joint memorial for Jeanette and her husband Cal will be held on June 4th at 10 am at Western Colorado Veterans Cemetery.
