Jerald Arlen “Jerry” Rensvold passed away on Thursday, May 20, 2021. Our father, Jerry was born in Wolf Point Mt. November 24, 1941 to his loving parents, Earl J. and Ann E. Rensvold.

Jerry grew up in Wolf Point Mt. After high school graduation he worked in the construction industry and graduated from North Dakota State School of Science in 1963 with a degree in Architecture, Drafting and Design. He had married Carol Ann Kuehne. They lived in South Dakota bearing 2 daughters Cindy and Carla.

Jerry moved to Colorado in 1969 driving 18 wheelers for a few yrs. During this time he found his beautiful love and wife of 32 years, Marcella Jo Barker. In marriage he became a step father to her 3 children, Nancy, Rodney, and Carol, whom he loved as his own.  They resided in Grand Junction Co most of their lives, but had also lived in Eckhert Co, the Napa Valley and Parachute Co. Jerry moved back to Grand Junction shortly after his wife's passing. Through his working years he worked in drafting, sales and managing Lumbar yards.( Burkeys, and Harbert lumber.)

He was an avid bowler from his college years through most of his life. He and Jo enjoyed traveling to national tournaments to bowl. He was active in many clubs like : Rotary, Jaycees, Lions, Elks lodge, Moose lodge, and was the President of the Black Hills Four Wheelers search and Rescue for a time. The stories he could tell such as his experience being deputized for the Sturgis rally. He enjoyed gardening, hunting on horseback, fishing on the Grand Mesa at Island Lake. He and Jo once managed the lodge where he would fish the lake, bring back his catch for Jo to cook for the restaurant and Jerry would be the waiter.During that time he was helping build the million Dollar Highway over the Grand Mesa. He loved his horses staying true to his Montana heritage always in a cowboy hat and boots. As his kids can all remember the first times we ever saw him in “shorts” but of course still had his hat and boots on.

Later in life he continued to enjoy growing tomatoes, Feeding the birds and he could always find a football or baseball game to watch. He did enjoy sitting in the best stands of Stocker Stadium to watch the Juco and Grand Junction Rockies games looking out over our beautiful valley watching the sun set behind us and if a good night, Fireworks after the games.
