Jimmie Davis

Jimmie "Jim" Max Davis, a long time Grand Junction resident, passed away on June 17, 2019 at the age of 80. Jim was born and reared in Clovis, NM. He was an alumnus of Eastern New Mexico University, Pasadena Nazarene College, and the University of Northern Colorado. He had a distinguished career as an educator and school administrator in California, New Mexico, and Grand Junction for more than 20 years before his retirement. After a second career as an entrepreneur, he came out of retirement to serve as the Director of the North Dakota School for the Deaf until his second retirement in 1995. He is survived by his loving wife Linda Lee; son Jimmie "Bud" Davis Jr. of Grand Prairie, TX; and daughter Cynthia Davis Morgan, of Colorado Springs, CO. At Jim's request there will be no formal service at this time. A private memorial will take place at a later date.
