John Swanson

John Richard Swanson, 37, passed away on August 7th, 2020

Born August 2nd, 1983 in San Luis Obispo, CA. He was the son of Carl Swanson of Rifle, CO and Joan Swanson, of Sioux falls, SD.

John attended Washington High School, in Sioux falls, SD.

John dedicated 20 years Rough Necking in the oil field (his one true passion) following in his Father’s footsteps.

John was a dedicated assistant Scout Master with the Boy Scouts.

John enjoyed football especially The Tennessee Titans, Camping, Hiking, fishing, reading.

John, Mr. beautiful blue eyes was the most kindhearted, caring, loving, selfless individual, with a goofy trickster sense of humor. John would do anything for anyone without hesitation.

John valued his family, he was a determined hard working husband and father who gave his all to give his family the world.

John was a jack of all trades, there was not anything he could not fix or figure out. He loved to build and work on projects around the house.

John was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Myron & Beulah Swanson and maternal grandparents, Jerry & Marlene Vandenberg. Great Grandparents, Carl & Ester Naessig, and his best friend, Jeremy Bohlman.

John is survived by His wife Crissy, their Sons Andrue, Jacob, & Liam, Daugters Lilly and Chelsea. His brother, Jason Swanson of Rifle CO. His sister, Jamie (Randy) Glasco of Sioux Falls, SD. Sister Tonelle (Bob) Carlson of Bemidji, MN. His mother in law, Deb Joseph of Fruita, CO. Sister in laws, Jennifer & Vicki of Grand Junction, CO.

Memorial Services will be Friday August 14th, 2020 at 11:00 am at Brown's Cremation & Funeral Service. Located at 904 n 7th St. Grand Junction, Co 81501

A celebration of life will be following the funeral service at the Grand Shelter at Canyon View park from from 1:00 to 4:00 pm.
