John Jones

John Jones of Grand Junction passed at the age of 81 with his family by his side.

He is proceeded in death by his wife Blanche and daughter Gail. He is survived by his daughter Janie Mullen, brother Tom and Joe and sisters Evelyn and Dorothy. Along with 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren.

He served 3 years in the Army in Korea and later retired with the Naval reserves. He has his master degree in Elementary Education. His career was in teaching and loved his position as an educator. He enjoyed his job so much he always said he never worked a day in his life. John loved to spend time with family and never missed a family event. He maintained a love of reading, his passion was history. He is a devoted Catholic and a knight of Columbus and will be remembered as a man who loved life and cherished his family and friends.

His service will be held at the Immaculate Heart of Mary church in Grand Junction, Co on September 3, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. with lunch to follow. Donations can be made to his church.
