Jose Montoya

Jose Roberto Montoya (Bob) 77 of Nucla, Colorado entered Heaven on 11 Dec 2021 in St. Mary's Hospital, Grand Junction, Colorado,

He was born 14 Sep 1944 in Rocky Ford Colorado to Jose Joaquin Montoya and Avarista Maria Garcia  (Mary ).

He attended Rocky Ford schools graduating with the class of 1964. Later he attended University of Colorado Boulder graduating with a degree in forestry .

He worked several years for the Town of Ordway maintenance department. Then he moved to Norwood, Colorado to work for the State of ColoradoTransportation in 1992.He worked there until retirement.

He was a member of Ordway Volunteer Fire Department and an EMT.

He is survived by wife Patsy Osburn.  His children Robert Angelo Montoya (Rachel Jackson), Joe Wesley Montoya both from Ordway, Kenneth Lee Montoya (Beverly Montoya) of Naturita, Colorado,

and Alita Lucia McIntyre ( Chris) of Port Tobacco, Maryland. Eight grandkids and seven great grandchildren, Uncle George Estrada and children of Walsenberg,  ex-wife Mary J Montoya of Rocky Ford, many cousins , nieces and nephews,

Precedent in death by both his parents, three sisters,one uncle and one aunt.

Graves side services will be at a later date.
