Joyce Ann Selders, age 61 passed away on 1/1/2017 following a long illness. Born 11/24/1955 in San Jose, California, she was born to Paul and Beatrice Murphy. They moved to Grand junction, Colorado in 1967. She was raised by her mother and step father, Clyde Baker. Joyce married the love of her life, Duane Selders on October 5, 1979. Together they raised their daughter Fawn Marie. Joyce had been employed by the airport for 18 years as an aircraft rescue fire fighter and in the office as administrative assistant. Her hobbies and interests included crafts, fishing, hunting, camping, boating, leader of a girl scout troop for 9 years and most of all spending time with her family. She was the best grandma ever to her two grandsons James Leroy and Traver Haze. She lived the last year of her life at the Residence of Grand Mesa where she was loved by all. Her smile and personality could light up a room. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by her sisters, Helen Adair and Debbie Murphy, daughter Fawn Frasier, Grandsons James and Traver Frasier and many nieces and nephews. Memorial Services will be Thursday, January 5th at 2:00 pm at Brown’s Cremation and Funeral Service at 904 N 7th on 7th and Teller Avenue, followed by a balloon release at the Residence at Grand Mesa at 565 28 ¼ Road at 4:00 pm
