Julie Marie Bondurant Dodd, age 54, died February 16, 2017 following a sudden illness.
Born September 16, 1962 in Belvidere, Ill, she was the daughter of the late Charles Edwards, and Mary Ann Woolcott, of Fruita, CO.
Julie attended Palisade High School in Palisade, CO, and later received her GED.
Julie worked as an Advocate for children with special needs for many years until becoming disabled. Julie also had a love of plants and spent many years caring for plants all across the valley, including Colorado Mesa University library.
Julie was a valued member of the Grace Baptist Church in Palisade, CO and was a master puppeteer in their puppet program.
Julie enjoyed spending time with her husband, children/step children, grandchildren/step grandchildren, family, friends, watching her birds out her front window every day. She loved to draw, paint, camping, collecting wild flowers especially the looking at the beauty of the Columbines, Indian paint brush. Julie loved the mountains of Colorado, loved watching and attending Broncos and Rockies games, listening to music, she loved her dogs, cat, and jewelry making. She loved driving her 1965 El Camino.
Julie was dedicated to her family, and always willing to lend an ear.
Julie was preceded in death by her father Charles Lee Edwards, brother Michael Edwards and her mother in law, Sherrill Dodd
Julie is survived by her husband, Richard Dodd of Palisade, her mom Mary Ann Woolcott (Terry) of Fruita, CO, her son Tyler Hayworth (Brandy) of Parachute, CO, her daughters Jacque Trent (Chris) of Grand Junction, CO, Michelle Johnson (Chris) of Grand Junction, CO, Cindi Mills (John), of Grand Junction, CO, Brandy Goodhue (Glen) of Montrose, CO and Rikki Crabtree (Michael) of Grand Junction, CO, her brother Brian Edwards (Kathy) of Denver, CO, her sister Colleen Edwards (Russell) of Fruita, CO, step-sisters an step-brothers, Annette Ozgowicz (Mike) of Belvidere, Il, Linette Hall (Ed) of Byron, IL, Robert Woolcott (Teresa Hall) of Grand Junction, CO, Tina Woolcott of Princeton, KY, Christine Nordine (Larry) of Stillman Valley, IL, Debra Meeks of Rockford, IL, Donny Woolcott (Sissy) of Savannah, IL, 18 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and cousins, her step mom Channah Edwards of Albuquerque, NM, her beloved dogs, Romper, Callie, and her cat Twix.
Memorial Services will be held on February 27, 2017 at 4:00 pm at Grace Baptist Church, located at 503 Lincoln Ave, in Palisade, CO
Cremation services have been entrusted to Browns Cremation and Funeral Service
