Katharine Burdick

Katharine Ann Burdick was born on July 15, 1939 in Indiana to Andrew and Zora Brewer. She, with her brother James and mother moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma area where her father worked, when she was a little girl.  She attended High School and Graduated in Bristow. She had many friends whom she has kept in touch with throughout her life. Kathy married Gerald Phipps in Oklahoma in 1960. They had two sons, Darren and Duane. They travelled the US following pipeline jobs then settled in Green Mountain Falls, CO where they hosted many parties with card and board games. They both loved watching their boys practice karate.

In 1977, she married Randall Burdick. They joined her two boys and his two girls into a loving family.  She and Randy travelled around the country doing sales and enjoying their favorite places like Hilton Head, SC and many places in Colorado.

Kathy moved to Woodland Park, CO following Randy’s death in 1991 and worked in the Cripple Creek Casinos before taking care of her aging mother in Tulsa, Ok.  A few years later, she moved to Whitewater, CO to live with her son Darren and his wife Deb.  She worked as a caregiver for a couple of years, retired and lived comfortably at their home until her death on June 24, 2021.
