Kathryn Ann Krawczykowski

November 18, 1938 – December 7, 2020

On Monday, December 7, 2020, Kathryn Krawczykowski, Sister in Christ, Loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, passed away at the age of 82.

Kathryn was born on November 18, 1938 in Rockford to Carl and Helen Schupp. Kathryn work in a verity of professions, always following her passions for community, cooking and crafting. She wasn’t college educated, but if it had anything to do with helping people, promoting a smile, sharing a story, she had a Master’s degree.

Kathryn had a passion for crafting. All types and disciplines. Knitting, crocheting, sewing, painting ceramics, and needle point, are among those that she had perfected (but not limited to). She would try just about anything to keep her active and entertained. She rarely kept what she had created as she loved the smiles and joy that came with sharing and giving her creations away. In addition to crafting she loved to bake. She baked anything and everything, always to perfection. She baked to share and contributed to just about every baking need, whether it be a bake sale or pies for a charity meal. She also loved nature. She was always excited to see the deer, and the wild birds at the feeders in her back yard.  She loved her Southern Gospel. Gather Gospel Hour was among her favorite TV shows, and that music filled her room in her last days at the Hope West Hospice Care Center.

Kathryn is survived by two sons, Patrick Smith (wife JoRee Polzine), of Grand Junction, CO  and Stephen Smith, of Phoenix, AZ, Grand children Trevor Smith (wife Linda Smith), Drew Smith (wife Elizabeth Smith), both in Albuquerque, NM, and Jackson Smith (Boise, ID). She had one beautiful Great Grand Child (to Drew and Elizabeth), Haylee Smith, also in Albuquerque.

The Family would like to thank all who cared for her, prayed for her, and supported us during her illness.

There are Angels in the Grand Valley!
