Kenneth “Kenny” Dean Fenton, age 69, died peacefully at home on Sunday, April 15th, 2018. Born on December 19th, 1948 in Englewood, CO, he was the son of the late Frederick and Mary Anne Fenton. Kenny graduated from Douglas County High School in 1966.
Kenny served in the US Navy with the Blue Crew (1968 - 1972) aboard the USS Ethan Allen (SSBN 608). After his service, he continued to develop his skills as a mechanic. In fact, Kenny was one of the first automobile mechanics in Colorado to earn ASE certification from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence.
Kenny is survived by Mary Foley Fenton, his wife of 30 years; daughters Angie Stepp, Lori Letterman, and Amanda Miller; sons Jeff Fenton, Aaron Mason, and Brennan Mason; as well as 16 grandchildren.
A caretaker to his 7 younger siblings, Kenny was also a fiercely loyal and big-hearted friend with a ready and robust laugh. A passionately patriotic member of the VFW, the Rocky Mountain Thunderbird Club, and the NRA, Kenny was an avid fan of John Wayne. He also loved classic country music, English Springer Spaniels, and telling funny stories, almost all of them true.
Kenny will be missed by so many people who will love him always.
