Kenneth passed peacefully at home on January 13, 2015 with his wife beside him. He was born July 15, 1930 to Henry and Rose Kitzman in Kersey, Colorado and spent his childhood in Eastern Colorado.
Ken was a pitcher on a semi-pro baseball team called the Seattle Rainers, but sadly missed his tryout with the Chicago cubs due to a ruptured appendix.
During the Korean War, he served in the Navy on the Underwater Demolition Team. In addition, he had many jobs throughout his life, although he finally retired as a pipefitter and insulator out of Local 28 in Denver, Colorado.
Being a “Cowboy,” working with horses, children, and disabled adults was a very important part of Ken’s life. His cowboy boots and hat were his everyday attire. He was devoted to his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and Brothers Robert and Donald. He is survived by his wife Lori Kitzman, sons Bruce, Victor, Brian, Michael and step children Julie Redeye and Lee Scarff, his brother Wesley Kitzman (June), 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
