Kenneth Anton Kropf, age 77, passed away April 9, 2021 following a hard fought battle with lung cancer.
Born May 11, 1943 in Stowe Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, he was the eldest son of the late Anton Emery Kropf and Edna Louise Kropf.
Ken was a veteran of the US Air Force having served as Airman 2nd Class during the Vietnam War era.
Ken worked for the Phone company for over 35 years as a Lineman.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, spending time with friends and family, and shoot trap. He was a true patriot and loved his country.
Ken was kind, generous, easy going and personable. He worked hard, was willing to help anyone and loved with his whole heart, quietly.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Edna Louise (Burkes) Kropf and Anton Emery Kropf.
Ken is survived by a daughter Jessica (Tarino) Russell, a daughter Afton (Brent) Jagger, a sister Carol Ann Deemer, a brother Keith (MaryKaye) Kropf, a sister Karen (Dave) Nicksic, a brother Clifford (Pat) Kropf, a brother Craig (Joann) Kropf, a sister Calire (Bruce) Pfender, a sister Claudia (Chuck) Stierheim, a grandson Jordan Hamilton and a granddaughter Ella Russell.
Memorial services will be Friday, April 23rd, 2021, 10:00am at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery 2830 Riverside Parkway, Grand Junction, CO 81501.
A celebration of life will be held following the Military Honors ceremony at Las Colonias Park in the Mariposa Shelter (South of the Butterfly Pond next to GJ SUP rentals) from 11:00AM to 1:00 PM. Light refreshments will be served and a video honoring Kenneth's Life will be played.
