Kenneth Wiltsie

June 24, 1930 — April 10, 2016

Kenneth Arthur Wiltsie, age 85, passed away April 10, 2016 following a long illness.

Born June 24, 1930 in Watertown, New York, he was the son of Arthur and Lois Wiltsie.  Kenneth graduated from Southside High School in Elmira, New York.

Kenneth worked a variety of jobs in his youth and also worked at Westinghouse for several years where he met his loving wife, Minnie.  He worked at many other jobs such as school bus driver, mechanic, construction work and a prison guard.

Kenneth was a member of the United Pentecostal Church.

He enjoyed many sports such as football, baseball and basketball.  His hobbies included hunting, playing sports with his kids and grandkids, crossword puzzles  and latch work.

He was a dedicated family man, hardworking and always helping out when he saw a need.  He had a great sense of humor that left his family rolling numerous times.  He could lift a serious atmosphere in one word: “Achtung”  (German word for attention)

Kenneth was preceded in death by his father, Arthur, mother Lois, brothers Gerald, John “Jack”, Ronald, sister Gertrude, son Rev. Kenneth William Wiltsie and several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.

Kenneth is survived by his wife of 60 years, Minnie (Hofsommer) Wiltsie, daughter, Charlene Hollingsworth, daughter-in-law, Cynthia Wiltsie Coffey (Kenneth W), sons Charles (Cathy), Kelvin (Cindy) and Robert (Pam), 14 grandkids, 26 great grandkids, brother Holley, and sister Tillie, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Martha and Ed, sister in-law Jean and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services were held on April 16, 2016 for immediate family.
